just keep looking, and the closer to the center the better i found, as i play in early game i buy any parts i see so that by the time i get to the barrier i have most of the components in my industrial ship that follows me
i have lasers for close range and rail guns for long range, i close on the ship, drift past it taking out the shields with my 4k range lasers then after i have drifted past and out of their range i open up with my rail guns and finish them off
burst fire turrets are pretty good early game because if yoru lucky you can get some that deal enough damage quick enough to kill the CPU enemies..... but the problem is they are nowhere near as damaging as normal weapons.... these weapons need to kill the target in a shot or 2 otherwise they are just not as effective........ (comparing 2 weapons with equal stats but one had burst fire)
the only problem i come accross with rail guns and cannons is lag......... im not runing a great machine but i notice my computer has a real problem if i fire likw 10 x3 cannons at once at a target.....same with a rail gun..... but when it doesnt lag these weapons just obliterate anything i shoot.
Keep in mind buying parts from turret fac's isn't at all ideal, they can have 250% or much higher mark up on part costs. trade hubs are good to hit up if you cant find the dedicated factories for parts, so Sectors with 2 or more Trade hubs are always good to check.

damit hat mein schiff (15 slot's nicht optimiert) eine feuerkraft von 36082 und mein HQ (15 slot's nicht optimiert) eine feuerkraft von 57130.
die wichtigsten punkte dieser waffe liegen in deren unabhänigen zielen, stärke, reichweite, der ZIELSUCHENDEN raketen und es wird KEINE ENERGIE benötigt.
JEDE RAKETE trifft :)
aber es gibt auch einen nachteil, sobald das feindliche schiff zum wrack wird, wird dieses wrack durch die raketen, die noch unterwegs sind, fast zu 100% zerstört :)
