Dear Devs PLEASE fix the Broken Tutorial System
You get everything right but this invasive and intrusive tutorial. The old system would spam in MP, now I cant enter a new creative world to redesign ships for MP without having to do this tutorial over and over and over and over. No option to uncheck it.

Dont get me wrong, I love the game, but my god, your tutorial has drove me nuts from day 1, and has only gone from bad to punch a wall worse.

Please let us turn it off. ty

Complete the tutorial once and you'll be able to uncheck it.

Ty for the reply.

Sadly I have completed it every time, but each time I make a new world, I have to do it again. I have 1200 + hours in the game, there should NOT be a tutorial for creative mode. I need to edit a ship and get back into MP, but have to screw my time around on a tutorial for the umptenth time when I just need to edit a ship real fast. I am sorry, but its annoying and immersive breaking.

I dont know if its because I recently reformated my pc or what, but every new galaxy I create, survival or creative, this damn tutorial requires I do it again.

I love the game, but that tutorial is gonna end up causing me to to a vacation, its that annoying for me.

I agree with toothless raider. Tutorial should not have a requierment in order to be disabled.

I tried doing that just yesterday on Linux, and one segment requiring me to add weapons couldn't even detect them, and the game won't allow me to skip this section for any reason. I want to love this game immensely, but I can't enjoy any of it if even the tutorial is unbeatable.

I appreciate the feedback and support. I am sure the devs will fix this, more than likely an oversight, but it really is annoying.

It seems like the config didn't get saved correctly. Did you exit the game properly?

Play the tutorial until the "Congratulations, you've finished the tutorial!" and click that away. Then exit the game and restart it. You should be able to toggle it off.

If that doesn't help, go into your %appdata%\Avorion\ folder (or ~/.avorion/ on Linux / Mac), open settings.ini, and replace playedTutorial=false with playedTutorial=true. That should fix it as well.

I did finish the tutorial, but I guess it doesnt save cloud, cause I reformated recently and have to do it again, and now it just loops, Ill try the ini thing.

And yes I did exit normally. I dont know if because having 2 monitors it maybe bugged?

Monitor 1

3440x1440 @ 120Hz Gysnc
Monitor 2 1920x1080 144hz Adapative sync.

I usually play Avorion on the ultrawide and the small one for pvp games, but I sometimes get lazy, dont swap and play Avorion on the smaller monitor. I dont know if that could cause issues.

In my opinion, the monitors should not cause this issue. Have you tried to change the ini file? Did it solve your issue?

Yes, changing the ini file did fix it for me. The issue was every single time I created a new world, it required me to do the tutorial, and I couldnt uncheck it. It was a tad annoying. The ini fix worked ty!

That fixed things for me too, though I would still recommend looking into that bug I mentioned in case someone does want to follow the tutorial.
