More powerful weapons?

I keep seeing stuff about people having 100k plus omicron ships yet im struggling to get 25k... Where do you find these powerful weapons? Ive tried the turret factory and they arent any better than drops. Is there something im mising or doing wrong?

Build your Turret Factory on 0:1 and try to find best turrets..

The closer to the core you are when you find a weapon or create one via turret factories or research, the better the damage will be.

In that case, what power level should i be looking for when i go to kill the wormhole boss? I dont wanna show up with 25k omi and get clapped bc i needed something like 150k.

Lol ignore my stupidity, i was under the impression that after i opened the wormhole through the barrier i would have to fight the guardian... Guess not as i just did it lol. Thanks anyway!

My ship hast around 14k Omikron and i farm around the outer circle. :)

Coaxial guns have the most DPS in my opinion, however, they have a very small firing arc so they aren't as active. My flagship does abour 230k om right now.

Well, Coaxials get an additional x3 multiplier to damage beyond what turrets do, not to mention that turrets stop at 4 slots and coaxials are 5 & 6 slots, so they get that additional multiplier.... So, yeah, they are more powerful. :)

its an upgraded version of the Ai witht a few extra mechanics. pls pm me you ships stats, i can tell u then more

How do you find big brother I wana fight it but there are no details online yet.

Each turret factory is dependent on RNG (random number generator).
I often build multiples of Turret Factories at 0:1.

You may it useful to build a warehouse ship, to stockpile all necessary bits for turret crafting.

The Big Brother
"The Big Brother" is an AI similar to the lower level boss called "The A.I.", however with much higher stats. He has 3 million health and shields, as well as 30k omicron (DPS). When fighting against the Big Brother it will split into smaller pieces that will continue firing until they are completely destroyed. The main weapons of it are Railguns, Point Defense lasers and Plasma Cannons, which are made from Ogonite and Avorion. While the 2 AI´s are pretty similar when fighting them (exept the betther stats of the Brother) one change is, that every time a piece falls off the Brother it triggers a torpedo launch. These torpedos are ranging from direct damage to shields and hull to deaktivation your shields entirely.

Fighting strategy
Either using a good sized Capital ship with over 5 million shield hp as well as armour or multiple ships that can be retreated individually when taking too much fire is needed. due to the swarms of torpedos coming your way, some point defense systems at the front of your ship are also a great addition. Fighters and Torperdos however are useless and get destroyed after 50 meters away from your ship. Because of the Brothers long range and Railgun weaponry, trying to put in as much pressure as posible from a close distance is far more effective the long range combat. Ramming is also very effective as most small parts are destroyed immediatley on hit and decrease the Brothers DPS. Downside to this is that you may have to deal with 20+ torpedos when landing a good hit.

Finding The Big Brother
To find the Big Brother a Maintance chip is required that is sold by mobile equipment Merchant´s that can either spawn in randomly or get summoned via buying a beacon at the equipment dock of an allied Faction. Once activated it will mark a location on the map with a skull. The Big Brother can only spawn in the center of the galaxy and unlike the A.I. it will NOT spawn when doing 10+ jumps in empty sectors.

Drops
All the times i tried fighting The Big Brother it dropped at least the following:
1 Legendary Turret (mostly ogonite lvl)
1 Exotic Turret (same regarding lvl)
some rare turrets (also ogonite)

Notes
Ramming is highly effective against The Big Brother, but can also dead a great amount of damage to the player, because of the torpedoes being launched (30+ Torpedos dont seem to be a Problem for the Brother).
Due to many Point defenses fighters are absolutely not viable and will get killed within seconds.
When trying to get into a Safe distance to recharge shields 20km is the absolute minimum, as it will follow the player and shoot from 19km range, although it will try to come closer.
Because of the Railguns armour is an absolute must have on the ship.
The Big Brother will immediatley attack the Player and Xsotan alike, however it is highly effective against Xsotan.
The Big Brother is clearly an upgraded version of The A.I. which leaves the question open who placed the Brother inside the center of the Galaxy (100yrs before the player gets into the Center) and why hasnt it allready tried to fight the Guardian, or got destroyed, since it is clearly able to fly around and couldt hundt Xsotan.
