Report a translation problem
Also, your rep with a faction =/= the rep of your Alliance with that faction. You and the Alliance you create/are a part of are treated as separate entities.
I mean where does it not advance anymore?
How to ally with a faction :
1) make sure you have enough standing (how much you need will depends on the faction itself).
You can check this also in point n°2
2) Go to your 'Player menu', the icon completely top right on your screen.
3) In that menu go to the diplomacy tab, and select the faction you want to be allied with.
4) If you have enough reputation to negotiate an alliance, there will be that option to click on. If not, you need more reputation.
5) To negotiate an alliance you need to give them either credits or materials that are worthx-amount of credits. How much also depends on the faction, but usually it's between 3 & 5 million.
6) If they accept your offer, you should now be allied.
This is how to ally yourself as a player, not to ally a player-made alliance.
