How to turn a fighter into a blueprint?

I created a custom fighter at a fighter factory. How do I turn it into a blueprint so I can make more? I can't find a menu option for that anywhere.

Go to your ship menu, open up the fighter tab, drag the fighter to the blueprint slot on the left side of the squad. Read and confirm the dialog box. Check the little checkbox to enable/disable production.

Make sure you have some assembly blocks on your ship and enough resources to build the fighter.
