I dont know what the engine is, I could not find much info on it. I can say it runs silky smooth on an 8core FX 9590 with 16 gig of ram and an AMD R9 290 graphics card & SSD
If all you want is high framrate gaming at 1080p on even the latest games, the hardware above may be old but it packs a punch and for $400 to put it together its a bargain.
Bit hungry on the electricity mind. ;o)
Got worried when i saw dual-core in requirements as i already got a few of those games with very poor performance when there is alot going on because the developers are too lazy to support multithreading.
Knowing that i dont risk cpu usage of 10-15% and that it support my system i will give this a go.
