How do I build my armor so the blocks aline cleanly?
I spent a few HOURS! in creative mode trying to cover the interier om my ship with armor but even if I use murrur mode I can never quite get to different armor blocks to aline in such a way that there are no visible lines? this is especailly hard when using corner bloks to make two wedges meet. I have seen a lot of really ships in the workshop with smooth armor even with lots of wedges and slops and corner blocks. HOW DO THEY DO THAT!? is it just lots and lots of mucking about? Are there some tricks that can help? :rainbow::sovunicorn:

Make sure you are using the finest scale resolution you can (the sliders to set grid size and snap size).

I usually get it where I think it is close, place the block, select it and use F to focus on the block so it centers up in my view, and then I zoom in and look around a bit to see if I missed aligning. If it looks wrong, I select the block, Ctrl+C to copy it, Delete key to wipe it out, and Ctrl+V to paste again. You are then in placement mode with your previous block, so you can stretch in whatever axis you need until it is correct and click to place the now accurate block.

Takes just a little practice, but once you do it successfully a few times, you get the hang of it. And mirror mode is a life saver when you have a symmetrical ship with lots of complex angles and such!

Sometimes lines can make a beautiful design though!

This is a considerably older build.
