NPC respawn
First, I want to comment that I'm really enjoying this game. It is very simple, complete and beautiful and there are very few bugs

Now we go my doubt

How to adjust NPC respawn in my server?
I've seen that the game has scripts open but, I do not want to mess around without good guidance.

I would like them to appear further away because yesterday even an alliance player lost the ship because it was without shield and collided with an NPC ship that appeared in front of him during the combat.

I think respawns need to be more random and distant.
The frequency with which they appear is a big problem as well. We tried to build a station and we did not have a moment of peace to manage things. We lost an 8-hour game without advancing anything just by defending ourselves.

Try the avoprion forums , there is alot of mods that may help you.

I have to say, the developers must have been doing crack when they came up with the encounters. Frankly, it is utterly impossible to do anything but fight. Doesn't matter what system, every three minutes, like clockwork, a random encounter occurs. Since all but one or two of the possible random encounters means that a fleet (anywhere from 3-15 ships) will be trying to kill you. Worse yet? They often appear right on top of you! Huge system...and they come out of hyper right on top of you? EVERY SINGLE TIME?!? What sort of stupidity thought this was a good idea? Having SOME systems (like pirate strongholds) have that sort of frenetic pace would be offering the player a CHOICE, but with it happening everywhere...CONSTANTLY? Means you can't mine, you can't salvage, and you better be damned good at fighting.

i have never come across this problem, try befriending the factions at least until you are ready for combat.

It isn't the factions, it is the constant barrage of pirates and the xenos. I mean, seriously, I found a system with a huge Trinium asteroid, I never got more than 1/2 of it mined before i retired in exhaustion. Fighting off 3-12 ships CONSTANTLY? Hell! At times, to give my shields time to recover, I would run two groups into each other and let them beat on each other for a while. I couldn't even salvage the wrecks of those I destroyed! It takes a minute or two to kill 3 ships, so, by the time I sweep up the dropped turrets/equipment, I might or might not have time to get started salvaging one of the wrecks before the next group shows up to kill me. Hell! The entire system was littered with wrecks, I should have set up a salvaging license business. :)

I decided to risk a change and it improved a lot!
They still appear but now take 10x more.

Edit the file "...\Avorion\data\scripts\player\eventscheduler.lua" (line 21)

Change this:
local pause = 5 * 60
To:
local pause = 5 * 600

This will delay all events including the pirate spawn
But I still think this is not a good solution. They need to make these events more random. Sometimes frequent and sometimes more time consuming.
Since the home sector, the spawn of pirates and Xsotan are very frequent.
It's hard to progress with frequent attacks, and it makes the game tiring.

Consider it a constructive criticism because I love this game!

Try building a station a bit further away from the core, I've heard it's more peaceful there around this time of the year :)

Am I right in my assumption that Xsotan and pirate attacks are more frequent the closer you get to the center?

I eish I could make the Xdptan/Pirates stronger (4-5x) and you eish to remove them as enemys naturaly scavanging the galaxie???
How comes that you dont oneshot them o.O

I wouldn't mind if they were individually stronger, as once they get into range they don't take very long to kill, it is the constant harrassment. It is the inability to accomplish ANYTHING else but fight. I don't know about you, but I do like to move around a bit when under fire, so, after the fight is over, I have to move back...and by then? The next group of idiots has arrived to start the process all over again.

But, the biggest problem is that you can not take an hold territory. Not so long as the random encounters continue. Eventually, no matter how strong your units, under stupid AI control, they will die (if for no other reason then the AI Capitans will not repair). There needs to be a way to CLEAR a sector. To make SAFE territory.

What I noticied is that event scripts are still basic.
It checks if you are off the edge of the galaxy to start the attacks ie it is not gradual.

Also their respawn time is very short. You finish cleaning the area to start building something and they appear again. It is a frenzied wave where you get 12 hours fighting and with intervals of 2 to 5 minutes building. And if you're playing with friends the wave of attacks are greater.

I think a lot of the people who play this game can not see the diversity of things in this game because they spend a lot of time fighting.

I suggest that this attack wave can have a minimum and maximum settable time in server.ini or in the configuration box of the galaxy in singleplayer mode

adding a simple timer to the script should solve the issue.
