bounty hunting? how do i make money with a combat ship.

I started playing this game a day or two back, and this is the first time I've gotten a good combat fighter. I call it hunter-1, it's a titanium ship with 17 crew, SIF, 4 gun turrets and 1 salvage turret. The question is what ways can i make money with guns? the job boards seem sparse of bounty hunting contracts.

just join random sectors and fight the pirates when they attack someone you get rewarded for killing them 10k early and it gets more the further to the core you get.
You can kill the wreckages of the pirates with your guns to get modules and turrets you dont need salvage turret to get these.

Okay so heres what you do with a combat ship. I built something kinda normandy esq its high tech medium volume (so you can put lots of turetts on it) Go find a sector where two factions are in dispute actually this happens quite often once you get closer to the middle right now I'm finding trinium out the wazu. Anyway all you do is pick a side then keep jumping around the sector helping you allies. collet the turetts/upgrades, after awhile go by the upgrades merch and sell it all. Make bank. So far I've been playing only 2 days up to 2.8 mill. I have tons of resources because they also drop that when they die. And just got my first trinium cannon which fyi has a pretty nice range in comparison to what I've found so far. My ship is currently mostly titainium like yours but I threw a shield on it and some more generators along the way. I plan on building an entire naonite ship tonight with some trinium components for giggles.

Just tell an freighter to drop its stuff. but do it on the outer sections of the map cause the ships there are mostly made of iron and weak. but the loot can be the same as in the inner sections. but u have to sell the stolen loot at an smuggling station (i think u can find them by looking for the yellow blibs on the map wich show after u installed an radar module)

just a +1 for Strilter - piracy suxx (you need cargo space) faction wars + killing pirates is a best way to get $ as I found so far (propably salvaging will be good later)
