Energy?
Aro Solarpanels the only way for a ship to produce energy? They seem kinda useless when u have a big enough ship..

No, solarpanels are not the only way to get energy, as when you get titanium you can make a generator, which works far better then solarpanels ( at least compared to iron solarpanels). so just get some titanium ;)

Honestly, the hardest part for me was getting titanium. As soon as you can, get scavenger turrets and go to a scrapyard. You can get turrets by destroying the blocks that contain turrets on other ships, so aim for where the fire is coming from when you fight. And this applies to after they are dead too, even without scavenger turrets you can shoot the wrecks until they pop like loot pinatas. With the scavenger turrets, you do much more damage and much faster, in addition to getting resources from the wrecks. Once you have them, just make a nice speedy ship and slap as many as you can on it, then go from battle to battle, scrapyard to scrapyard. I got up to the fourth metal with almost no fighting or mining at all just by eating every wreck in sight. Even with having to rebuild my ship five times due to bugs, I still have an excess of resources, money, and equipment.

In short, get scavenger turrets by shooting what shoots you, then wait for people to die and consume their corpses to advance quickly.
