how to give server more ram?

The server uses all the RAM it can get, no need to configure more.

so, why am me and my friend lagging so hard on my server? the only other thing i could think of is my friends bad ping

Is it your own server are both of you lagging? If one lags the other should not be lagging.

Is the lagging more like low FPS and stuttering, or are the ships jumping around?

im having this too i made a thread about it earlier, it seems like my servers sim speed is just low and stays low

i checked my ram usage and it is capped at 6gb when i have 16gb on my computer

Having the same issue here. 2 people on a dedicated server I am hosting, I am FAR beyond anything that could ever be needed for mem and cpu, I have hosted HUGE servers as well as running Vent and TS servers at the same time, The jumping and skipping of ships on my server is crazy. Even while I or my friend are on alone it is emmediate and constant. What is this.

im still having these issues, its making the game nearly unplayable, fights take upwards of 10min just because we can only deal maybe 1 damage before lag takes over in battles, the server is just me and my friend
