Editing credits and resources
Say I did some things and have way more credits than I should have, how could I edit that number?

I've looked around in the player file but haven't been able to find where that number is saved.

/give almighty_hood 50000000 credits
/give almighty_hood 5000000 avorion (or any material you want or need by name)

just change your name for mine in the above to get them, no need to fiddle with xml or other files.. how to change them to less is a different story however, i wouldnt really worry about the credits to much, if you toally worried however find a big ass astroid claim it and buiild on it the most expensive thing you can i guess and just leave the system it wont do much without you there anyways so why not..
You can spam buy from a station then destroy the goods you bought till your to a more comfy level of credits npc stations seem to never run out of required mats.

Thanks for the responses.

Guess I gotta burn 700 million credits by using ingame methods, haha.

I was spawning in turret sets, and in order to get rid of the ones I didn't want I was selling them, then I noticed the [DESTROY] button in the inventory screen.

I only use that script to get the buildable turrets due to a lack of the requires stations being spawned in, Even then its a gamble. Those buildable turrets have crazy damage sometimes compared to standard looting.

You could try /give Gryth credits -700000000

Edit: nvm, negative values don't work.
edit2: actually hold that thought, i'm typing the command wrong...
edit3 :negative values work, you might need to do the whole /give -p Gryth -g credits -a -700000000
for it to work...but it does work.

Conclusion: yeah, negative values in the give command work just fine.

For Testing you can alter your name in steam profile, then start the game, do your things and change your name back in the profile...
