Where do you start seeing diffferent Ores?
I am guessing the closer you go to the center the higher tier of minerals you find but about where do you start seeing Naonite and so on?

I believe so me and a freind are playing co-op and noticed more titanium the further inwards we go i will guess that the other materials will appear slightly more nearer to the middle.

If I recall correctly you start seeing naonite <250 from the center. I can't recall where I read that though.

You can find up to Trinium before you go past the center barrier rift. (Small chance you might find ogonite, I haven't) then, you'll find ogonite and avorion after you've breaced the center

What about trading? is that at all in the game or at least jetisoning parts? Me and 2 other guys are playing together and 2 of us are just loaded with parts and minerals I myself have like 35k titanium and like 12 exetional turrets while the 3rd guy is getting 0 luck always getting poor parts and has like 3k titanium

share with your poor buddy using the mail system. attach parts and things to the mail and send it to him, justs remeber that capitalization matters in the name.

Or use the reseach stations to turn that extra crap into higher tier stuff.

and 35K isn't that much when you start making ships that have 7-9 upgrade slots, My smaller ship was 700K.

yeah well we arn't far like -400 -370 or something like that. we found a yellow dot salvage site that had something with like 300k titanium on it and I got the big reactor it had. but thanks that will help alot.

Can you turn blocks? I want to design a cool looking ship but I can't figure out how to turn blocks sideways or anything like that.

I started finding huge chunks of titanium when I went north of my starting point. My starting point is at 9 o'clock of the galaxy so I am not moving closer nor farther from the center just moving straight up a few sectors.

I did see in videos on youtube that the ease of finding rarer materials go up as you move towards the center of the galaxy but the enemies also get stronger as well.

I am content staying in my little area till I am stronger ship wise.

to turn blocks hold R for rotate then click on the rotate wheels around the parts.

I had to look it up online for this.

There are also commands to quickly mirror blocks along their own axes. Pressing X, Y, Z will flip the block in X, Y, Z. So if you wanted to make a 45º ramp that goes towards the back of your ship and starts on the top of it, you place an armor slope, press Z Y, place slope, press Z Y, etc.

Go for the naonite. It's green ore. You'll get a really strong ship with naonite shielding. Put a bunch of shielding and power on there and you'll have a great time.

Are there commands to replace a block with a different material block without actually having to delete and replace? Im curious on this as I swapped my ship from iron to titanium when I had enough and it took the better part of an hour deleting piece by piece to swap in Titanium versions.

Yes. click the block type you want, click replace-blocks (it's in the buttons on the left), then click the block you want to transform.

I'm not sure if there's a way to upgrade all the blocks at once. (e.g. replacing all iron blocks with their titanium equivalent)
