15000 m/s is needed, well at least that's the speed I saw when I bothered to check my speed after I got the achivement. Could be slower.

I got the achievement (in normal, not creative) after hitting 11,111 m/s. (I noticed the achieve at 11,200, so I assume it must be 11,111.

Funny but i think it would be more like Epstien Drive Ludicrus, Achieved mine using a 3 slot miner with gold VSCB chip, i bailed out at 250000+ m/s and i think it is still accelerating out there.
