Guys there is a second control set
Guys press F2 because it unlocks a different control scheme. Instead of WASD for forward, back, turn, it turns into a pitch control and if you press V it constantly moves you forward. Is this new? idk. News to me.

Oh my god thank you... much much better control scheme for huge slow ships

The ship seems to turn much faster in keyboard steering because the input is raw where on mouse steering it has to "catch up" with were you are pointing... I can foresee a lot of whining in PvP it this stays like this...

Moreover, what totally bugs me is that in Keyboard mode you have Accelerate and Brake, so you can set your velocity say to mid-bar, while on Mouse mode you only have full speed and you have to keep it pressed if you want to move forward... why there's not a Accelerate / Brake in mouse mode too?

Makes no sense :D

There are some things that make no sense if you do not configure the keys manualy, or why i should use q and e for up and down instead rotation left right? Why is the middle mouse button set to target if it better places to right mouse button? Why is mouse wheel bound to zoom if you could use it for soft speed control (atm not possible i think) and put zoom to strg+mouse wheel?

I think, because it is early access and the devs are working hard to fix already included bugs and server problems :)

Well, keybindings are not really a problem since you can rebind them to your likings.

The problem is that in Keyboard mode the ship react in a way while in Mouse mode the ship react in another.

In Keyboard mode you can set your throttle to any degree (going half max speed, for instance) and the ship will stay at that throttle level while on Mouse mode you can only go full throttle or no throttle and have to keep your "forward" key pushed in order to keep moving.

I hope it will get sorted out eventually.
