Does this mean new clothing and uniforms can be created now?

There is, but so far, unfortunately, only for Windows: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2957030766
It also seems quite convoluted.

Yes i have seen this and looked at it. It won't be the same as native / modded HMD support. I will probably try it though

That's a good news, modding tools are always welcome in any games, i hope that Starfield make Space games more popular (more people on this games will mean more money for Egosoft and possibly more mods), X games are very good, if they had more "on foot" content and Planets, it would be perfect

PS: If i was a good 3D artist, i would love to create a lot of new ships, station module and interiors, but i'm not :steamsad:

TBH, I like the sentiment but its a bit unlikely that someone didn't realise they they like space exploration :P

The AI and Ui are still terrible.
UI might seem somewhat unintuitive at first, but it's very efficient when you get used to it. So I'd rather prefer them to not change it.

It's not in the slightest efficient and not user friendly.

Getting used to ridiculously convoluted and dysfunctional UI does not make it *efficient*.

More Modding Tools is ALWAYS Good. Thank you Egosoft!

Now "How to make Cut-scenes with Voice-overs?...hmm"

It is very efficient. It doesn't have a lot of submenus and all the information you need is promptly accessible. Once you understand how a particular operation is done, you can usually perform that operation with a very low number of clicks; for example, finding out the best prices and offers for a resource in the map, assigning a ship to buy that resource cheaper and sell it for a higher price elsewhere. Were it dumbed-down to something more "accessible", that operation which you will repeat thousands of times would become cumbersome to the point of not being viable.

The UI is fine by 1998-04 Standards.
For a Modern Front end its way to convoluted.
Looks like a SAP Backend from early 2000.
(Just like their HP:steamfacepalm:)

BUT

Thats not the problem i think.
Problem is the User Experience, UX

Its just bad.
For New user without any experience in using "outdated" UIs,
users who dont work with Software / Backends its just awefully convoluted.
Tooltips missing all over (actually its rare to get any tooltip at all)
Absolutly abhorrend informations regarding Fleetmanagement, Turretssetups, Station management and so on also resulting in a Bazillion of "AI is bad pls fix" Posts in forum /Steamgroup.

AI isnt bad....
Its compared to avg totalwar or PDX game actually amazing.

The UX is aweful.
No way for a new player to know that its the turretsetup wich makes Destroyer yolo into stations and not "the AI" without external sources or trial and error.
No way for a new player to get the diff between "defend" or "intercept" without external sources or trial and error.
"Why is my carrier not working?" -cuz there is no information on how to use carrier-specific commands and no informations how the default roles interact with them
list can go on forever....

Luckiely Egosoft seems to be aware and is looking for a UI/UX dev for a while.
Sadly they arent very attractive, especcially by German standards so i guess they`ll keep searching for quite a while.

I'd love to see things like broken cockpit glass and fuel requirements. Egosoft is one of the best devs around, thanks so much guys!

Not even the same genre of game, but you do you buddy

Don't think there's even a need to discuss the UX, the mod tells enough what's lacky on the UI's, while the workaround can't really solve the real hard-coded issues.

Same with AI behavior, there just ain't enough behaviors for the AI's to be "smart" enough, this ain't about X series, but more of a global issue that it is hard to balance AI and how much resource it takes from your CPU if you want them to be so "smart", and it's a deep talk when you want it to be smart while efficient.
