(fixed) Mod to turn off radios?

My youtube videos get copyrighted left and right from these little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s, but I can't turn off the radio without turning off all the music (thanks bethesda), so I wonder if there is a mod that turns off the radios.

This doesn't make any sense, are you referring to the radios you find in the wasteland or the Pip-Boy radio? because you can turn both of them off, for the random radios you find in settlements and the wasteland just walk up to the radio and press "E" (or whatever your toggle button is) and it should turn them off.

He can, but sometimes you don't notice something like a radio playing, especially when you're focused on a quest. The Youtube copyright system is just absolutely god awful, unless you have millions of subscribers, and even then it's still a pain

Should be possible to put in empty files as replacements for the radio songs as a mod. Again should, I'm not a modder so I have no idea.

Yep. I don't know why you would because it is already the quitest thing in any game ever. Although Fallout itself isn't very loud when it comes to most things.

If you are getting infringement notices turn off all music and all radios in the audio menu because the ingame music is also copyrighted material, hell the whole game is. And depending on how literal they take that crap on youtube you might not even be allowed to play the game on youtube without written permission from bethsoft.

use winamp in the background...
you can turn off all the radio stuff from settings...
you can download all the music ever used in the fallout games and play that using winamp.

problem solved, this is what i do btw.

also, what sandwich said is 100% true... its impossible unless you have a couple of serious heavyweight of high payed laywers backing you in a corporate or nearly corporate setting.

Uhm, no.

Not even 'high powered companies' can get away from this ♥♥♥♥ with all the lawyers in the world.

What happens is - anyone can list with Youtube any sound as their copyright. Then if your video has that sound and Youtube's content 'protection' system catches it the 'copyright owner' gets to decide if he wants to monetize that video. He gets all the money while your counterclaim is sorted out. 99% of the time the claim is sorted out properly - a week later when nobody is watching the video anymore and the bastard has taken all your money.

Having lawyers doesn't help here as its all automated.

Now - there is a way to screw with these guys. Several big Youtubers are deliberately adding in content from multiple sources to get the IP owners of that content to make multiple competing claims over 'ownership' of the video.

Which usually means *no one* gets any money, but that's better than the scammer getting it.

also, if you never want to hear the radio, you can go into the audio choices and turn the sound off. I did this for the back ground sound track. I find the music cuing up right before a battle a bit of a giveaway. And i find having orchestration breaks immersion. I mean, i am sitting in my living room typing, and there is no orchestra playing. i could turn on a radio, i suppose...

The problem OP is having is that for some reason the devs decided to make the radios in the world link to the ambient music (music option, will mute ALL music except the PipBoy raido.), instead of linking it to the Radio option (adjusts only the pip radio).

@OP: The only way to mute the randomly placed radios without muting the ambient music is to download this mod.

This mod replaces all radio music with silent xwm files, so even if the radios are on they emit no sound.

Youtube uses an automated system to detect copyrighted audio content. Doing it manually in real time is impossible, and would result in week long or more delays between upload and availablity. The unfortunate result of that is the system will flag ANYTHING that is copyrighted, including music used in video game sound tracks. The only way to circumvent this is to disable any in game source of copyrighted music.

Edit.. apparently my PC thinks that "copyright" has a "w" in it.

Usless discussion again. You play a game and dont know how to turn music volume lower or and turn off the pipe-boy radio off.
