For those who have FPS Issues.
So, if you're having any FPS issues, and you know your PC can handle this game (My pc is an intel i5 4690k, 8gb ddr3, msi z97 pc mate, AMD Radeon R9 270 GPU) on high graphics, then try this. Don't worry about changing the graphics to low settings, because that probably doesn't work.

I have integrated graphics on my motherboard, but I know for a fact my GPU could run this game, but for some reason, I was still getting FPS lag even at the menu.

Here's how I fixed mine (Windows 10):

1. On your desktop, press Start
2. Type Device and click on the Device Manager
3. On the Device Manager, find "Display Adapter"
4. Right Click on your Integrated Graphics and click "Disable"

This will cause your PC to use your GPU and that should hopefully fix your FPS issues.

I was having FPS issues in-game and with OBS while trying to stream. My FPS would drop from 30fps to around 7fps.

Hope this helped!

Not at all. Both laptops and desktops come with integrated intel gpus which games often default to on laptops (and even desktops sometimes). Desktops I believe can disable the intel gpu via the bios if they have a proper video card installed. For laptops its just a case of adding the game to the nvidia/amd control panel and setting it to use the dedicated card.

Well damn, I never in a million years would have even guessed that would work. I'd have thought since the integrated GPU actually drives the display that if you disabled it Windows would throw a tissy fit.

This actually does solve Integrated GPU switching problems that cannot be fixed using AMD's "Radeon Software." I can't say that my Radeon R9 M265X is much of a GPU, but it performs a lot better than the Intel HD Graphics 4600 that most games wind up running on.

I've got a proper solution for this written for GL software, but D3D9 software sucks at GPU switching and D3D11's apparently not much better :-\

TL;DR: This DOES work, unlike AMD's driver settings.

I know right? Laptops have intels for power management but I can't fanthom why desktops have them too other than giving people without gaming gpus an actual display driver :P

They can be useful in some circumstances. The Intel integrated GPUs are better than some very low-end standalone GPUs that NVIDIA sells.

Stuff like this http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-930.png that has no business even existing. Why NVIDIA sells that crap, I will never know.

Oh, and in D3D12 / Vulkan, you can also offload compute shaders to the integrated GPU while rendering happens on the main GPU. There may be a reason in the future not to disable the integrated thing, but for now there's no reason to leave it enabled.

Shady business practices most likely. The unenlightended see the word nvidia (or amd) and instantly think gaming machine. I remember when dell swindelled me with an 8800gt back in the day, claiming it was gaming capable. The damn thing strugged running even LEGO games of the day. My at the time ignorance shames me to this day lol.

skylake integrated graphics are able to play games like league of legends :D

And probably Runescape and Minecraft and other games that don't require any hardware capabilities.

It's worked for some, and it worked for myself. So it's not that bad a tip. For some reason, some Intel integrated graphics likes to force itself as the main GPU. It was just one of many solutions that I'm sure there are.
