Game does not boot
As the title says, simply doesn't boot. Click play... computer does a little "thinking" and then nothing ever happens. I've restarted computer, no help. Verified game cache files, no help. Delete local content and reinstall, no help. Restart comp again, no help. Just doesn't boot.
Anyone else having this issue??

I am having the same issue, I was so excited to see X2 and I cannot load it.
Processor: AMD FX 6300 six core Processor
RAM: 16G
AMD Radeon R7 200 series (listed under display adapters)
not that it matters but 3 terabyte hard drive so there is plenty of room

Not sure where to find the rest, its hard to locate stuff with windows 10. But if I can run Workd of Warcraft (all expansions except Legion) then I don't think I should be having any issues at all with this.

CJ, don't think specs are the issue, but I'm running windows 7 on a Intel Core i7@ 3.4 ghz, quad core, Geforce GTX 970. I have the latest direct X and .net framework, as well as video and other related drivers.

Alrighty..
Make sure any AV/Malware programs realtime scanning is off, especially Win Defender if you use it
Close any un-needed programs/background processes

may not get you anywhere, but its worth a try.

They recommended I verify game cache files... after a 4 day wait for support... that was their idea. Of course, I SPECIFICALLY said I'd already done that in my original ticket.

If you have display duplication turned on, turn it off. In my most recent testing trying to break the game, that's one thing that came as a surprise to me.

SOLUTION!!!!

So it apears that the default setings for this game is in a japanese format their were alot of complicated solutions on the nexus, however the jist that i got was that due to nation privlages the game dose not reconize that it is not playing on a ps4 that converts jp setings formats to na automaticly.

go to the file directory documents/ square einx / final fantsy hx remasterd

right click the sedings redme it is actuly the setings app file

click properties

security

edit

and type in users to add all users on you computer.

you should now be able to use the launcher to adjust ingame setings to set the language to english and adjust the graphics setings if you have trouble with that well google trasnlate is easy to use.

I'm not sure what you mean. After I click security, then edit... every box is already set to "allow" for "System" "my computer" and "administrators". What am I supposed to be editing? They all say allow for everything.

I don't see how that would fix an issue of the launcher not launching anways, which is my issue. It's not that I can't use the launcher to edit settings, the launcher simply doesn't launch. I click play, the "thinking" hourglass comes up.. then nothing at all happens.

Just an update. Square customer support finally replied again and suggested that I uninstall and reinstall the game and run windows update.. Jesus Christ. Worst customer support ever! Been waiting a few days now for a third response and more "helpful suggestions."
