FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster

FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster

Statistiken ansehen:
Constant Battle Freeze's, missing textures.
So I was hyped to play FFX again. But a lot of the fights won't work at all, queue the ability/attack and when the chars are using them it just freezes up, nothing happens at all.

In around 50% of all the cutscenes or walking around town following a cut scene, some of the chars will be missing textures, be it entire face, entire body ect. So you only see Yuna's necklace and staff.. or Wakka's hair and on Lulu just the mog + bracer guard.

Anyone else having these issues and know a fix to this.

You can try to verify the integrity of the game cache. This method has worked for various other users experiencing the same problem.

1) Right click FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster in your Steam library.
2) Click Properties.
3) Navigate to the Local Files tab.
4) Click the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button.

After Steam is done redownloading any missing or corrupted files, you should be good to go. You may also want to try doing this a couple times just to make sure everything is going as planned.

I hope this works! Good luck! If this actually does work, put [SOLVED] in the title so that others can see.

If the method I posted above doesn't work, you could also try getting Kaldaien's mod, titled "'Untitled' Project X." (UnX for short). This mod fixes various problems with the PC port of FFX/X-2 and it may fix your problem.

http://steamcommunity.com/app/359870/guides/#scrollTop=0

1) Go to the UnX Steam Guide page. A link has been provided for you above.
2) Follow the installation instructions found in the guide.
3) Configure the .ini files of the mod to your liking. Help can be found within the guide.
4) Start the game and hope for the best.

Like I said, only try this fix if you find that the first one I posted earlier doesn't work. Of course, you might want to consider getting UnX anyways, because it opens the door to a ton of new things that could enhance your playing experience (custom HD textures, true fullscreen mode, etc). Anyways, this is the only other fix that I could think of. I really hope this works out for you. Good luck!
Currently doing the Checking Cache, that found 2 Files that couldn't validate. But that seemed to have made the entire game redownload. So gonna see what happens with that

Those two files were probably FFX_Data.vbf and FFX2_Data.vbf.

Those files are 19.2 GB and 16.6 GB respectively. Doing a checking cache basically makes the corrupted/missing files redownload. Those two Data files are probably the ones corrupted; that explains the weird textures and buggy gameplay. Since those files make up the bulk of the download, then you are essentially redownloading the entire game. Because everything fits together like this, I believe it's safe to say that doing this will fix your problem.

Good luck!
Yeah I really hope so! I did get bluescreened twice when I installed the first time; I suspect that has played a part in this mess. Thank you for your help! ill update tomorrow if it helped or not!

Have a nice sunday :)

You too man! Take care!
So I did both of those things, and sadly neither of it works. Full reinstall, tried a new save file. Even tried playing FFX-2, Didn't seem to have the issue, or watching the FFX- Eternal Calm thing.

Edit: Here is a Screenshot for those interested can see whats going on.. http://puu.sh/piNSx/9a94668aa3.jpg

Try this, if you have enough ram.

http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php

I haven't test it enough time to say that it works, but try it. (Sorry if bad english).
Copy the 4gb patch on FFX directory and use it on ffx.exe.

What the heck o_o that's weird.

If those two methods didn't work then I really don't know how to fix your problem. Sorry 'bout that.

System memory's really not a limitation in this game. I've watched the amount of memory that is resident in great detail, and it never really gets much above 1 GiB. Even with the default 32-bit usermode limit, FFX never comes close to having that problem.

Many of these missing model and missing texture problems are due to the magic_<xyzw> DLLs not being loaded correctly. Anti-virus software may be to blame or simply a corrupt filesystem.
I'm actually working on texture memory management for this game as we speak. I don't expect it will improve this particular situation any, but there's room for performance improvement.

You can see _both_, the typical memory consumption and the state of my current work in this screenshot:

I had the texture and fight freezes, but since i used the 4gb patch they are gone forever. I played yesterday for 4 or 5 hours and there was no single problem in the game. I am also using your mod Kaldaien, with better textures.

Running the game on a 6 year old laptop, with integrated gpu intel HD 3000, and it runs well.

Maybe system memory is only a limitation when playing on low end pcs.

Oh damn, did you have those freezes after an enemy encounter? like on the screen that showed the XP/items that you earned?!

No, not that kind of freezes. I had freezes during battle, and crashes on cutscenes. You can try the 4gb patch, it works for me, maybe for you too.
