1) Right click FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster in your Steam library.
2) Click Properties.
3) Navigate to the Local Files tab.
4) Click the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button.
After Steam is done redownloading any missing or corrupted files, you should be good to go. You may also want to try doing this a couple times just to make sure everything is going as planned.
I hope this works! Good luck! If this actually does work, put [SOLVED] in the title so that others can see.

1) Go to the UnX Steam Guide page. A link has been provided for you above.
2) Follow the installation instructions found in the guide.
3) Configure the .ini files of the mod to your liking. Help can be found within the guide.
4) Start the game and hope for the best.
Like I said, only try this fix if you find that the first one I posted earlier doesn't work. Of course, you might want to consider getting UnX anyways, because it opens the door to a ton of new things that could enhance your playing experience (custom HD textures, true fullscreen mode, etc). Anyways, this is the only other fix that I could think of. I really hope this works out for you. Good luck!
Those files are 19.2 GB and 16.6 GB respectively. Doing a checking cache basically makes the corrupted/missing files redownload. Those two Data files are probably the ones corrupted; that explains the weird textures and buggy gameplay. Since those files make up the bulk of the download, then you are essentially redownloading the entire game. Because everything fits together like this, I believe it's safe to say that doing this will fix your problem.
Good luck!
Have a nice sunday :)

I haven't test it enough time to say that it works, but try it. (Sorry if bad english).
Copy the 4gb patch on FFX directory and use it on ffx.exe.
If those two methods didn't work then I really don't know how to fix your problem. Sorry 'bout that.
System memory's really not a limitation in this game. I've watched the amount of memory that is resident in great detail, and it never really gets much above 1 GiB. Even with the default 32-bit usermode limit, FFX never comes close to having that problem.
Many of these missing model and missing texture problems are due to the magic_<xyzw> DLLs not being loaded correctly. Anti-virus software may be to blame or simply a corrupt filesystem.
You can see _both_, the typical memory consumption and the state of my current work in this screenshot:

Running the game on a 6 year old laptop, with integrated gpu intel HD 3000, and it runs well.
Maybe system memory is only a limitation when playing on low end pcs.
Oh damn, did you have those freezes after an enemy encounter? like on the screen that showed the XP/items that you earned?!
No, not that kind of freezes. I had freezes during battle, and crashes on cutscenes. You can try the 4gb patch, it works for me, maybe for you too.
