How are the mouse and keyboard controlls?
Does this game work with mouse and keyboard and are the controlls any good? Thank you for your help!

The game works fine on keyboard, however some of the minigames might be more difficult than they would be on a controller (then again, people report some of them to also be easier on keyboard, so...).
Regular gameplay is totally fine with a keyboard, as the game is not fast-paced or particularly action-based. Most of the combat is turn-based.

Are the keyboard controls remappable? I don't use WASD for movement since I use my mouse in my left hand. I just use the arrow keys. Does that work?

theres no mouse control at all. either keyboard or controller.

Extremely unintuitive. You'll spend a very long time figuring out that to skip the opening cutscene you have to press B. Not E, not spacebar, not enter, not escape; B and only B.

The buttons can be remapped, but can't be mapped to two different keys. So forget about using WASD and arrow keys, it's one or the other :-\

Chocobo races will be pure torture. Completely possible though, as i've done it. Took me about an hour straight of nothing but chocobo races. Kill me.

Okay I guess. Very lazily put together. I don't recommend it for a lot of things that require some skill (Chocobo Races)

To be fair, Chocobo racing is a nightmare no matter the controls.

The problem of the chocobo racing is the stupid camera system those FF games have. Instead of your character moving forward whenever he's facing if you press the key to move forwards, he moves depending of the camera orientation, which can change at any time without warning and quite often has ackward positioning. Stupidest idea for moving around in a 3D environment ever.
Keyboard doesn't help, sure, but that's hardly the core of the problem.

But yes the B to skip the initial cutscene is super hard to find by yourself, that was such a dumb choice as well.
