There might be a mod somewhere that can remove a pawn's trait with an item. Not sure why you want something like this, because Character Editor is usable for the entirety of the game when you have it installed and that can be used to remove traits. If you have the Biotech DLC, there are plenty of mods that add genes which either force or nullify certain traits, I guess you can count the xenogerm for that?

i had issues with Character editor and went with pawn editor. but i would prefer doing it legit, im not opposed to using these methods but only as a last resort.

If you have Biotech and use a mod that adds genes for various traits you can essentially remove many traits just by giving someone a gene that overrides it. Most traits have a "conflicting" trait, and if you install the conflicting trait via genetics I believe it suppresses the trait it conflicts with. Brawler suppresses wimp, for example, and Tough suppresses Delicate.

In the same way that Anomaly made aging and maxing skills a non-issue, I really hope that the next expansion adds some late game reward to manipulate traits.

adds an ideology ritual that can remove traits. Not sure exactly how it works.
Brainwash chair mod from chickenplucker does exactly this.

Was going to suggest this as well. Search for Uncle Boris' Brainwash Chair.

The only way I know of myself which does NOT require a mod is to go into the game's (AppData>LocalLow>Ludeon Studios) folder
there is a folder called Saves and it should have the name of your save file which is convenient. and as long as you open it in any kind of decent editor such as notepad++, you can see all the complex information in there.
There'll basically be a whole section for each pawn, so search for their name, and then find the traits section to delete one you don't want

This is how I've been doing it for years and I'm very excited to learn from some of these comments that there was a character editor XD I should look into that.
But yeah worse comes to worse and those let you down, you can always do it the manual, if fiddly, way.

You have at least two options:

Character Editor adds a casket called "zombrella" that you can put a pawn into. It still uses the CE screen, but gives a slightly better way to do it than just using the UI button.
