egg sequencer?
i've looked up so many guides but the results i'm getting make no sense.

i gave an egg 100% helpfulness according to the egg sequencer and all that did was increase its playfulness from 7% to 40% compared to its parent once hatched.

i also tried changing its color- some did change, but some didn't. i also tried to get its anatomy to mutate but nothing changed at all, even tho i slightly overdosed it.

the one thing that seems to be consistent is size. i must have maxed that out because after a point, NOTHING would make it bigger, even things that had worked before. baby hatched bigger than adult momma so that's exciting XD

on top of all that, tho unrelated to the sequencing, i hatched a creature native to frozen planets on a swamp one. was under the impression that wasn't possible.

For character traits some of the materials seems to be mis labeled. That is something that needs to be documented and sent to the zendesk.

For color each material should give a different combination of primary color and highlight colors. Try different materials.

Each creature does have a maximum size, and most have only one or two possible mutations.

A creature needs to be in it's native biome to lay an egg. It does not need to be in that biome to hatch.

I think, I know, what went wrong: If the egg comes from a creature, that is in the playful range and you use a substance, that increases playfulness, it´ll actually show an increase (green writing) in HELPFULNESS - yes, not a typo - . You can increase helpfulness with these elements: copper, dioxite, oxygen, ferrite dust, carbon, silicate powder or pyrite. These never change, meaning the elements always in- or decrease the same trait. HERE COMES THE IMPORTANT PART: coming from a playful companion, putting in any of the above mentioned elements will initiallly show DECREASING helpfulness, even though it should say playfulness. This is quite confusing, obviously, just keep in mind, that elements always have the same influences on your creature´s behaviour. ALSO REALLY IMPORTANT: I actually have no idea, how well known this is, but you can run the same egg through the sequencer as often as you like, each run will stack upon the previous changes. To further clarify, what I mean, it is possible to alter a, let´s say, WILDLY AGGRESSIVE creature´s egg to hatch a "Ghandi" companion, all in just one generation!! Also you can max out for example, size of your creature, every category of animal has a certain range of min and max height/weight, reaching the upper or lower limit will result in no more increase/decrease when applying the element...
I realise just right now, there´s A LOT more, I could write here, as I said, I´m not even aware of how wide spread these things really are among the community... If there´s some interest in more info on the topic, I can certainly add a whole lot of things, but all of the above should give you a good foundation at least....
