16/16 "Trace the leylines to the portal" bug

[Archetype]

Mission worked until I got to the portal. The panel you have to access was in the terrain, and of course it was the indestructible type. Couldn't access the panel. Left the system and traveled to a few others hoping when I got back it would reset to a different location. Unfortunately now I don't remember what system the portal was in and get no waypoint for the quest to tell me. I also went to every system I visited and don't get a waypoint in any system for the portal. Help, I'm 65 hours in and don't want to restart.

Im stuck at the same spot. Every system says its in the current system but no portal icon appears and if I go to another portal it just function normally instead of continueing the quest line. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Same here. Can't find my way back to the exact portal i need though i can now activate others. I don't get a way-point to the quest portal.

**SOLVED**
By some crazy miracle I was helping a friend get his game started, and the portal icon showed up in HIS initial home system!! I went to it and finished the mission.

Welp, for me the portal just throws me in space to die... and then the game crashes.

The entire quest system seems to be screwed up in this game.

Same problem : portal control panel is 2m inside a rock hill and I can't interact with it.

Every few patches i come back to check if i can access the panel, still surrounded by indestructible terrain...

Just warp a long distance from your current location and you will be given the opportunity to reset the mission to the new location in the log.

Thanks Mr. Bufferlow. that helped, but took me a while as I didn't realise I could reset the mission using the middle mouse button.
Leaving this as a note for other users who might have the same issue


Go to another system and restart the mission.
Use the anomoly and fly out of the station.
You'll be in a new system. Hopefully far enough from your starting station. If not, repeat.
Go to your mission logs and middle click the mission to restart it in that system.
