Anyone else having glitch with mission icon going crazy?

All of a sudden the bottom right of the screen where it displays a mission icon/objective is just going nuts and flashing on and off really fast and making a noise when it does it
I tried rebooting, verifying game files, 1st person view, 3rd person view. The only thing that makes it go away is returning to normal save from the expedition, but as soon as I go back into the expedition, it starts happening again. I know I can report it to zendesk but just wanted to check here first in case its easy known fix. I also tried changing missions in the log and expedition tab, it just selects the new mission icon/text and keeps glitching. Driving me crazy

Not just you, there are a few other threads about others going through it, makes the game borderline unplayable.

Reported as a bug on Zendesk. They're gonna be flooded. Which is funny because it happened on an aquatic planet.

same issue, some claim if you complete the mission you were on it would fix, but thats not the case, sometimes it will stabilize then go crazy again

Yeah I just posted about it recently. Pretty awful bug. I can handle the icon flickering. Mine flickers so fast its invisible most of the time, but the audio cues flying off of it are insanely bad. I just turned the volume down and put some tunes on for the time being..

I don't know if this made it go away for this but after making this thread I did the 1000u task and right after it did the finding the 5 sea glass task and then the craziness stopped

Yes I do from time to time, taking the portal seems to re set it for me.

I just turned off the game sounds and threw on some music until I was done with the water world. Problem went away after that.

My original post isn't showing up, but I edited it. After completing the "Crush Zone" step, the issue resolved itself. Seems something with that particular step is making it go all ♥♥♥♥♥. It was fine for the rest of the expedition.

I had that just a few minutes ago, so I closed out. It was happening to several icons in different tabs. I had to fill up my mining tool and it was vibrating crazy until I topped it off.

I had ticked off a bunch of jellyfish who were trying to get me in some interloper's base getting the 1001 u step. I chalked it up to the jellyfish but maybe it was just coincidence.

I think mine went away after I collected the crush zone reward as well. It was somewhere in that group it started and stopped when I got to my ship and collected all the rewards I had earned.
