Storage container snapping
Hey all,

Trying to get my storage containers placed in my underwater base. They wont seem to snap to the end of x or straight corridors though i remember this being the case before? Do we really HAVE to snap them to square rooms now?

Prior to the update, they attached (snapped and properly integrated) to the ends of corridors to provide interior access, so I commonly put a cross corridor on a circular prefab wall which led to 3 storage containers (one on the end of each of the corridor cross). The patch notes said "hey, you can attach them directly to your prefab walls now" but made no mention of removing the ability to attach them to the corridor ends.
So: Previously, one circular room with an entry, with 3 cross corridors = a 9 storage container "pod". Now, one circular room with an entry only allows 3 storage containers attached to the walls.

You can trick the container into place at the end of a corridor and they actually work internally, but they are very obviously no longer connected properly.
One attached direct to the wall, three fake-attached to an X Corridor:

You can still freely place them anywhere in your base, but need to connect power obviously.
It's just if you wanted them attached, you were limited before, and now you are still limited, just in a different way.

They attach quite well to the cubes which can also attach to prefab circular or square walls instead of using corridors.

They SHOULD snap to each other if there's room, is there something in the way perhaps? I haven't tried putting them in an underwater base myself but since they would need those rooms maybe it's just the scenery in the way?

They should snap to X's might have to use build camera and stay inside but camera mode outside into the water to make them snap.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks for your responses, highly frustrating though. It would be intuitive for them to easily snap to the corridors.
