Splitscreen?

Will it be splitscreen on ps4?

For this type of multiplayer, with a universe this size? I seriously doubt it.

Like a 5% chance, and that's not even considering how few a number of games have split screen nowadays.

This would conceivably work as a co-op where you are nearby to each other, but since the game doesn't even have a "non-splitscreen" co-op, that becomes another "no" too.

Lol yeah. U seriously can't even find someone in non-splitscreen mode, so if your partner got away from you, it would be a mess. Thanks btw

Aha, no. The reason I'm replying to the latest posts is because I've subscribed to No Man's Sky's discussion page. So anything that gets posted for NMS, notifies me too. I've only been contributing to threads from the last few months, and only some of those anyway

Oh, and I seem to always be online, because I've been up all night packing the last of my things, as I'm actually moving to a new home today. I'm just about to unplug my PC actually.

Splitscreen games ain't popular anymore, it won't be splitscreen because it wouldn't pretty much make sense, why would it be splitscreen? Only racing games are still popular with splitscreen.

I think it would be an awesome splitscreen game. No need to play on the same planet - just explore your own areas of space and have twice the chance of seeing something cool.

That, and also the fact that it's more of a "solo experience", meaning there'd be very little reason to have split screen, when events with multiple players will already be so rare.

Not sure if trolling... or clueless about the game.

It IS multiplayer, and it IS online. Yes there is a single player offline mode; and yes, even when online, the liklihood of seeing another player is low, but it is still a multiple player game.
