No free slots in suit inventory!
I've never heard anything more infuriating in all my years of gaming, my blood boils when I hear her voice

If I had a quark from an electron from a penny for every time I heard this, I'd be rich enough to build an FTL capable Dsyon Sphere irl.

The way I fix this is to have free slots in my suit inventory.

Ya I'm sure we've all cleared out our exosuits, you explore and pick up a few things and before you know it you will hear those famous words

"No free slots in suit inventory! Most expensive items discarded!"

Rumour has it you can switch this off OP and its called competent storage management.

My inventory is always empty, I sell everything. I keep the necessary stuff in Cargo. With almost maxed space bucks, if I need anything I sold, I buy it back. :P

It's kind of ironic that when you don't know what to save and what to toss, you have the most inventory issues, because you haven't played long enough to completely expand it yet.

My biggest mistake in my early days was saving all the cooking ingredients. I had so many different kinds of meat it was crazy. The crap was hogging up a bunch of slots. Then I realized I didn't need all that stuff. Especially if you don't plan on cooking. Identifying the stuff needed for upgrades and crafting useful items is important, all the other stuff can be sold and recollected when and if you need it. The most useful tool during my early days of the game, the App "Assistant for No Man's Sky". Want to know what something is used for it will tell you, there is so much stuff that is for selling only. Keeping it just causes inventory issues. Knowing what not to sell is priceless. The app can help with that.

All good points, and not every material is found on each planet. I had the ♥♥♥♥♥ of staring at various "Activated Copper" required to fix the explorer that is now my pride & joy that when I did a multi Nexus mission, wound up on a planet with that and I filled my inventory with the stuff. The ships FINALLY fixed, lol

I started playing on permadeath yesterday, I'm gonna play on it from now on, there's actually kind of a use for no free slots in inventory in this mode, I'm using it to gather 250 of everything and no more, I actually prefer it, i had stacks of too much in normal, like 9000 carbon and what use is 9000 carbon or anything else really
Krash Megiddo Nov 17, 2021 @ 5:30am
Carbon is the building ingredient for timber base parts. It doesn't take long to go through 9000 carbon when building a bunch of timber bases.
