FOV

Game is fun but some things are a bit stupid. The FOV on PS4 is crazy it feels like you stand next to a mirror in your face...dont wanna kiss my TV. im a Main PC Gamer and it is possible it just feels like that for me. PC gets FOV slider so maybe i have to change. Played for 2hs and cant say that much about the content. What do you thinka bout the FOV on PS4?

Up to 70? Lol OK. That's an improvement but I would like to have it at 90-100. I'm sure therr will be someone that'll adjust it. Maybe in the config.ini file?

It would be another one of those things where the devs somehow do what they told they would do (there is an fov slider) but in reality it's still crap...

Sit farther away from your screen.


FOV in general is used to adjust the game view based on how close you are sitting to your monitor tv. If you are using a standard desk/monitor setup then you are sitting pretty close to your monitor and would need a higher FOV to help counter act this.

If you are sitting farther away from the monitor than a lower FOV actually helps quite a bit (despite what people would have you believe) The reason for the low FOV's on console games is 1 part performance and 2 parts Couch play.

(Lifehack. If a game's fov is making you queezy and you can't change it in game, then just simply sit farther away from it. Stanard couch distance is about where most console fov sliders default to.


This all being said No man's sky looks a like its FOV is slightly lower than the average console game.

It was obviously a photoshop mockup and not an actual screenshot.

Not sure how this would help, FOV would still be the same on a bigger screen, the picture would be bigger, but exactly the same as you get on a small screen.

The human eye has a 114 degree FOV :)

The FOV slider was always on its way for PC, glad it looks like implemented on or near release as the PS4 does look a little too small FOV

So the options menu in-game will actually have "CANCELLED" printed across it?

Or has that image been manipulated and/or manufactured?
