You don't just happen to be in the Anomaly with 50 AI Valves unless you have a purpose.

Players just like to give stuff away. I've done it myself. See someone who has a starter ship and give them some stuff they can sell.

This game has duplication glitches and many players are sitting at the money cap and simply throw valuable items at random players. If you don't wanna ruin your feeling of progression and earning things then pass them off to someone else.

I saw in a YT video (I have not tried it) that there is a duplication glitch that depends on giving stuff away to people on the Anomaly. So it's probably not like they are being a nice person but they are massively increasing how many of the item they have and using your character without permission to do it. Some in NMS land say since you're receiving free stuff it's not your place to complain. Personally it feels like a major security leak that it can be done without permission of the player.

They're not gifts when the player is targeted unwittingly and unwillingly.
