How do i join other's people nexus missions?

I tried it a couple times and someone random usually joins me in the mission which is usually very fun and nice to have someone help you out on nexus missions. How do i join someone else's nexus mission?

i imagine a lot of people initialise and then start the mission straight away, so your window for joining is quite low unless you ask people in chat if they want to group up.

i only tend to MP on certain missions, and if find someone joining on a mission i prefer solo, like base building, i leave the group which triggers the mission start.
