I have all the materials gathered... but there is no option to craft it and i cant find it anywhere to buy, been to 10 stations now :/ does anyone have 3 for trade or know what i am on about?

Land on planets, use the signal booster to scan for buildings. If you're lucky you'll find a factory, where you have a chance to get new blueprints. The Sodium Diode should be among those lootable blueprints. That's btw. how you obtain most blueprints/receipes.
You usually blast down the door of a factory, interact with the terminal inside, solve a problem with it and get something in return.

Oh. Yeah, I don't have the blueprint for this thing either. Maybe it unlocks through base upgrades. Basically, minor settlements in any planet will sell all these materials, so look out for them.

You're very welcome :)
There are a couple of things you can get from the Nexus, but most of it is for base building.

Base components are 1/5 of the goods available at the Nexus.

True, but basic blueprints/receipes are not part of what the Nexus has to offer ;)

Nope :P Just saying, base components don't comprise most of whats available at the Nexus. There's four NPCs at the back, all offering different upgrade branches (wxosuit, multitool, etc.). The terminal to the left, between the two NPCs, is the only place where you can purchase base components. Hardly most.

come on guys, let's not be pedantic about what is what ;)

Just gotta be careful with misinformation, that's all. Which leads me to warn you that you shouldn't rely on the random chance you'll get the blueprint. If they didn't fix the bug where you can get duplica blueprints, well... you might get a duplicate blueprint instead of what you need.

Just go with the minor settlements. They're available in every planet with any settlements. It's the building with the landing pad attached to it. These diodes sell for about 3k each, if I'm not mistaken.

Or you could just buy some from the Galactic Trade Terminal.

as i said... 10 stations and nothing

Not all terminals sell them, I think. I remember seeing one terminal selling it, but I don't remember seeing it in space stations, for example.

As I said, minor settlements. All of them have this material and others. All of them. This I can guarantee.
