I found a crashed hauler ship, but spent so much time and effort repairing my current fighter ship (this one was also a crashed ship that replaced my starter ship) that i do not just want to abandon it. So i have created a save beacon and put it next to the crashed hauler.
The plan is to then come back and claim the thing once i eventually have a freighter, so that i do not lose my fighter.
So, will the save beacon persist? i am currently logged out the game beside the crashed hauler.
I imagine you already tried? Well, if not, yes, the save beacon will remain there until you remove it. Beware, tho, that there's a bug where buildings and other tech related things might disappear sometimes. The way I found to temporarily fix this is reloading the save (doesn't have to be a save from before it happened, at least not for me).
Thats how i did it
Don't listen to the minority that are Noob's, you WILL lose EVERYTHING!
HG say they fixed this bug (friend of mine confirmed). None of y'all check the patch notes?
