Base no longer mine, login as Guest, lost freighter (& Fixes)

I'm not sure if this is just me or everyone, but i started at my base, saw the big disappointment with nothing working due to no power, decided to get some modules to learn the new stuff, then went to see polo and nada at the anomaly and learned the new stuff there, then when i got back to my base, its basically saying its not mine and i have limited privileges and i cannot build.

I have tried disabling multiplayer to see if that fixes it, but its still saying i'm just a GUEST. Anyone else got any ideas or are having the same problem?

If you go to esc menu > options there are TWO saves you can load from, the normal save and an auto save, if you're lucky your auto save MAY be before that issue, and you can reload that and skip losing everything, but just lose some progress.

Search for the folder named 'PersistentPlayerBases'. Now to find out which number belongs to which base you have to open them and search for 'Name'. When you find your base. When editing like this, you can find what you need on the left side of the screen, going through the directory tree. you do not have to scroll through the raw text.

There are two fixes, they might be needed in combination. Part 1: (unknown if this is required for part 2 to work or not, but seems to have little success on its own)

In the same place as your bases are stored, you may be able to find a lost freighter base also, this will have nothing in the name field just above where you need to edit (nothing, aka "") Once you have indentified the freighter, you change the name like above, just to "FreighterBase" instead of "HomePlanetBase"

Every item I had on the freighter was still there as well as the inventory size (even though you could max it to 48 if you wanted). Keep in mind I think that it's for a generic ship, not a capital one so if you had a capital freighter you could just put "MODELS/COMMON/SPACECRAFT/INDUSTRIAL/CAPITALFREIGHTER_PROC.SCENE.MBIN" instead. If you had a seed for your ship you could also put it in where the "0x0" part is.

A bunch of us got this bug. We went through the portal on the Nexus and it messed everything up. Freighter is gone, Guest at main base, all my other portals on other planets are gone...Prob gonna have to wait for a hot fix

By some miracle, my manual save was right before the portal of doom.

what the portal is supposed to do, is allow you to visit other peoples bases, but it seems if you use it to return to your base, you turn into a visitor to your own base!

if you trying to use you old save that is broken even you can load it. becouse some things does not work or something is missing for me i had some S class ship and they are gone and the stuff i had on them.. But im not sure but if you upload your base when you load the old save when you first time load the old save right away when you came into the game mybe helps.. but im not sure that would work either.... so New save is best to make after this update
