Died in Survival - Lost all resources?`

Is this normal? I normally play hardcore so i dont know. my friend said when he died he didnt lose his inventory. I died just now and my inventory is cleared out.

im confused. if anyone knows, id appreciate it.

There should be a marker when you scan with your Multi-Tool that shows you where to find your grave. Your inventory will be held in it.

That's normal for survival. You lose your stuff when you die.

There is no marker in Survival mode. The marker is for Normal mode.

From the wiki: "Death in Survival mode results in loss of your current inventory, whether in-ship, or on foot. If you die in your ship, you respawn on the nearest planet, a brief distance from your crashed ship. All inventory items on the ship are lost, and one or more components must be repaired."

yeah i just talking to him about it and he checked his save files and it was Normal mode lol.

You keep anything in your extra suit storage in Survival. Put valuables in extra storage and good idea to expand it when buying slots.
