The same profile name won't necessarily be immersive in every game, however.
I mean
They can just... allow us to name ourselves!?
I honestly don't think this is a very intelligent decision. It's not a small thing, either. In the absence of playing a role, I want to name my character. This is such a flawed choice by the game devs, I've never seen a company drop the ball on such a straightforward thing to implement in a game. Even Starbound lets you name your own characters, and that is a very low bar NMA did not meet.
Yeap. I dislike it! Going around as the name I use to purchase games sucks. And I gotta change my account name on Steam if I have another playthrough?
As for immersion, I don't understand your comment. Are you criticizing the idea that I would be immersed in a game, or the idea one can immerse in NMA? If you don't experience immersion when playing games, then you're missing out.
Also space isn't just black, there are a kalidescope o colours out there. Probably nothing like NMS's acid trip of whacky colours though.
Outside of them, space is dark simply because of the vast distances between sources of light.
That being said, Deadly Peanut is known for being a little harsh in his criticism of this game. :)
Me too
Well not really.. Space is dark because of the lens settings on video to see close up items that are usually very bright. Very few people have been to space to actually know what it truly looks like. BUT I guess we can trust the self appointed experts.
Heck, even the photo of Earth from the Moon shows how dark space is normally, and that's from only 250,000 miles away. :P
Seriously how would it be any different? You'd be ruinning past a bunch of PoussaySlayerMagnifico users.
