Broadcasting
Has anyone else had some douche broadcasting political crap through the game? I have mp turned off. But, yet its still coming through.

You can turn that off in-game...simple way is just disable MP, but you can also fiddle with the chat stuff. Back when there were real community events, remember hearing small kids playing the game, and one time this guy that just seemed to be doing a running commentary..."jet packing over to that tree...now going to scan...what is that icon...I am going to jet pack over to that icon now.,," as so on...plus he was a heavy breather so it was really annoying after awhile. I just muted the chat function.

And he claimed it came in from VOIP.

Which makes no sense. AT all.
And has nothing to do with this game.
So, it's weird.

Also, I'm sorry for misunderstanding the use of the word criminal.

Some updates ago, I left a message beacon on a glicthed world I had stargated to by entering in the first and only glyph I had "you can vote communism in but you have to shoot your way out of it" Lol.

You have to READ messages, guys. This was voice, I quit the game it stopped. Then I thought about the voice chat, and disabled that. But, HG should look into this kind of crap.

Just because you never used VOIP, doesnt mean its not in the game. Just stop with the misinformed rebuttals.

Dude, it's literally impossible for what you claim to happen. Period.
Just because it ended when it closed doesn't mean it was in the game.

You're asking for us to believe someone hacked the game just to spite you.
Why? Why would they do that?
Why would anyone use VOIP to harass you?
Why has this never happened before?

Seriously, you are the first person to claim that VOIP in this game could be used against you with no multiplayer options on.
VOIP is two way communication.

Dude. You're not understanding.
IT is literally impossible to do what you claim.
THere is no Audio broadcast option in this game at all! PERIOD. No one can set up an audio becaon to spam political broadcasts. Period.
You cannot claim otherwise.
This has never happened before.
You can't claim that either.

Orion was talking about communications beacons. You turned off all multiplayer options, which means no one can communicate with you besides the beacons.

Stop getting upset at this. It makes no sense.

No..I made sure by minimizing the game while it was going. No other tasks were running. It was definitely coming through the ingame voice chat.

Orion, HE solved it in the other thread in the bug reporting section.
Apparently, somehow voice chat can communicate with you even if you turn off all multiplayer options.
Which makes no sense.

There also is no need to be hostile and rude to me.
