how to grow Coprite Plant?
I don't understand this questline. I should grow a coprite flower for my botanic. How is this working? I have coprite crystals from the animals but it does not seem to work.
As much as i like NMS, the ingame help and tutorials are ♥♥♥♥ - big ♥♥♥♥.

you craft it by using the 'z' key I believe. You will see a flower when you try to place it. Can grow outdoors if conditions are right or you'll have to put it in a hydroponic garden within your base.

Press Z, go to the Farming category and you will see the Hydroponics tray, build that and then you can select the Coprite from the same menu to plant inside it.

with z it worked! thanks man.

the quest logs are as vague as humanly possible and are often not helping a bit.

Absolutely. I’ve had to look up several basic game functions because a) it’s not clear what’s expected of the player and b) the required actions are obscure and not outlined in the Guide.
I’d love it if the game remodelled the current “guide” with a dynamic Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Universe, proper hints and remarkable points of interest included! :)

I have grown it on my freighter in hydroponic trays, but I lost all my plants when I bought a new freighter. I am doing individual farms now for Frostwart, Gamma Root, Solanium, and Cactus Flesh on planets that naturally have the same. I have not found a valid biome planet for Coprite. I am glad to be free of constantly refueling hydroponic trays with carbon so I really want to plant Coprite outside. I have tried planting on dry hot planets and lush planets like my Star Bulb Farm to no avail.

I believe the last planet that I found Coperite on was toxic. Hopefully that helps with your farm.

If you build a biodome you can plant any of the growable plants in it without using carbon. Biodomes don't need re-charging.

There's no valid biome for Coprite since it's dropped by the wildlife after you feed them. They'll smile at you and make sure you pick up their gift. :steamhappy:
