I cannot find any copper
I am currently building a hyperdrive, but I cannot seem to find any copper anywhere to build chromatic metal and microprocessors. I have been trading with visitors at the space station to get copper but its so expensive, and not that common, and i need a lot.

(i have checked by planet does have copper)

any suggestions?

If a planet says it has copper, just keep searching it. Use your visor. If you're flying, look for yellow-ish deposits.

I meant if you're flying in your ship.
If you want to move forward while using the jetpack, simply move forward while activating the jetpack or press W while in the air.

Also once you have discovered it, if you have trouble finding it again just go to your discoveries map and click through the planets to help you. Then head to a station and teleport to that systems station.

Hello new traveler, welcome to no mans inventory space. Allow me to assist in this matter, Copper, Cadmium, Emril you will want to hang on to, All else, while possessing a later use, can be sold. Once you can craft anti-matter, you can start hunting for suit upgrade kiosks. I pay for the modules you use on your signal booster, just always have 55 ionized cobalt, cause EVERY time I find one, you think a cave is nearby permitting said cobolt findification? hell no. Through blind luck, I found a traveler grave, Atlas symbol. I checked it out and found 1 portal glyph, now the real shocker, if you dial a stargate address, for me at least, it connects you to a random destination. I have yet to fully hyperspace, but have been to 3 systems now via gate travel, and I have brought back, a cadmium hyperdrive print, Geo cannon module, 2 A class hyperdrive upgrades S class thermal protection modules. Oh, I also use my portable refiner to break down scrap metal into ferrite dust, haveing 8000+ of that, anything ferrite related is no longer an issue. You never know what you will find, a busted machinery in the middle of freaken no where I just blindly stumbled upon had a confilct scanner print in it. nd speaking of that pesky green slime, throw that ♥♥♥♥ in the refiner once, keep refining it...(Thanks for that tip, Cyn) Nanites. 10,000+ of those now.

lol.. yeah. this looks like my aunt on the phone. xD

@user12345

copper really is a grind in the beginning, those deposits bare only so little, you don't believe it.
I recommend looking into the caves on each and every planet you get.
all caves have cobalt sticks (stalagtites & stalagmites).
some planets have their caves that full you need to mow the sticks to get through the cave without using the jetpack.
more than the half of the planets have a second metal in the sticks.
some of them copper.
there's only one combination in stalagtites and one in stalagmites per planet, so if you found a cobalt-copper cave with lots of them, the whole planet will be like that.
one single stalagmite will give ~25 cobalt and ~5 of the second metal. (copper)

sounds only little, but if you mow 20 of them you have 100 copper, and a came across many copper deposits with less than 100 copper and across many caves with over 1000 sticks.
it just takes some time....

... and cobalt sells fat, too.

If you are not getting enough copper out of one deposit, probably means you need to reduce your terrain manipulator beam. I usually get between 800-1000 units from whatever I am mining from one deposit.

Small beam yields more ore from deposit. I use the largest beam for gathering silicate dust or w/e it's called to fuel the terrain manipulator. The medium beam is good for tunneling.

himmelherrgottsakrament! scheiBe. >_<"

okay, I just tested it with smallest beam, and I got 321 copper from a deposit where I would have expected 60-70, that is good.
but it's far from being 1000... what deposits are you harvesting or what planets are you rading?
