why are Spike and Spikey banned words.

Because "spik" is one letter removed from a slur against Hispanic people. That would be my guess. I should toss up my no-chat-censor mod onto NexusMods at some point.

The profanity filter is quite weird. I can't remember exactly which words I couldn't use, but the few times I ran into this it made no sense whatsoever. Nothing I tried to write is bad in any language I know, it was all normal words.

Get doesn't seem to be banned anymore. I think they took get from göt, the ö sounds kind of like an e, and NMS filters out the accents. In Swedish it seems to be slang for buttocks (shocking, I know).
See the wiki[en.wiktionary.org] for Swedish, and new to me the Turkish too.

The number 69 is also censored. Granted it can mean something else, but it's just a number. The level of censorship is stupidly dumbfounding.
