I destroyed my whole game experience by exploiting the Cryo-Pump
So i kinda feel bad for exploiting the pricing of the Cryo-Pump. Now that i have 1 billion units i feel bad about having done this. I wanted to test this exploit after seeing a video about it. At first i just wanted around 100 million. But i thought to myself how far i could go. Now that i have 1 billion units i feel bad about having done this.

I also realised that exploiting something that gives you unlimited units is kinda game breaking because most of the time you are busy farming units. Now that the unit problem is gone the only think you can do is following story, base building and buying anything that looks kinda cool....

It kinda rlly takes a lot from the game experience if you just dont have to worry about money. Acquiring a new ship or freighter is nothing exciting or special anylonger. I mean... you didnt grind that 40 million units for that one ship with 40 slots or that one multitool that looks like an assault rifle with 31 slots for 3.5 million units...

I lost interest in this game just by selling exploiting the overpriced Cryo-Pump and i wish that they would be a way to delete 995 million without creatiing a new save file. I really want to keep my save file. My beautiful base and the progressing i have overall. I only spend my units for two ships which i dont even need and instantly regreted it...

I also would never recommend to use/exploit any of the nanite/qs/units mechanics bc it rlly ruins the game experience overall!

I am not sure if for example the devs can edit the save files from every player and change the amount of units etc but if it is possible i would totally beg them to do so

You can edit the save yourself, to remove some of the stuff, if you wish.
And yeah, exploiting for the base currencies (credits / nanos) is a bad idea really.

Ive found that in any game i use cheats or exploits i quickly loose intrest...
Might be time to set that save aside for a while and roll a new toon, maybe give yourself a little head start money but dont go crazy again ^_^

there is something you can do though. If I were you, I'd join the games of random strangers and send them an expensive item for free ;) you will reduce your "dirty units" and help people too.

Look For NMS save game editor - It can be a whole 'nother can of worms, BUT it is capable of deleting your excess money - As long as thats ALL you use it for. Warning it is capable of completely destroying a game as unlimited power is bad m'kay ;)

Problem is that most expensive items arent worth "that much" if you have a billion

I find it hilarious that you questioned the morality of it only after the deed was done.

Here's the solution (without editing your game file as suggested above)...

1. Buy all the expensive things.
2. Delete expensive things.
3. ???
4. No profit!

I don't spend any units ever. The game is much deeper than appears, when you have to go out and find an alternative way for each move. Eventually building up your oxygen recycling etc.

Found all of my ships, totally enjoyed the process of repairing their slots. Repearing Drop Pods...all good fun that isn't there when it's 'gifted' by units.

Also, giving away units would not help anyone. Swap your lux ships for crashed ones, it's awesome, even some tech to be unlocked that way.

I've had over 1800 hours of immense fun playing the game and amassing my 4 billion unit fortune, the hard way.
