Scan creatures for 200k - 500k a pop
I doubt that. At least with activated indium lol. It's pretty fast mining with an exocraft on the ground.
That does sound legit. Which blueprints did you use for this?
The manufacturing facilites?
I liked the idea of the blueprints but honestly at around 40 hours into a new game I've not unlocked anything worth selling yet. So I'll let you know if that changes.
I found the suggestion by Dave1029 below the best one to go with early game.
Unlimited chlorine at around 600 credits a pop. You feed in Oxygen at like 12 units each and get about 3600 credits worth of chlorine. I was making around 2mil every 10 mins like this but it does feel a little exploity and it's pretty boring (but a great way to make your first 5 - 10 mil quickly!
So then I tried selling poly fibre (I think it was) both by collecting and growing the plants. Not worth the effort (perhaps with around a hundred or two hundred planters) too long to payback and a lot of effort upfront.
Finally I went back to flipping on the market and think I figured out the market system.
With an economy scanner you can look at the types of economies before visiting a system. The first part of the economy description will tell you what kind of industry is based here. The key thing about this is that it lets you know if you can sell the goods you bought. These are also colour coded to describe the industry (more on that later). So basically if you visiting a red economy system then that's an power based economy system and the key good it buys here will be Quantum Accelerators and it will produce Fusion Cores.
So you figure out the type of economy, the next thing to know is it selling anything I want to flip? You do this by looking at the second description of the economy, and that's telling you how productive that economy is. I've had a sample of around 50 or 60 systems and this seems to work around what that station will offer for sale. i.e. a destitute economy will offer perhaps 1 or 2 items for sale, these will be the cheap goods with a high mark-up, e.g. decrypted user data which you can buy for around 710 credits, you don't want this stuff. What we need is the top tier goods and they are produced by the wealthier stations. I've found about 6 or so examples of these systems which all seem to sell the top tier goods, these are; Advanced, Booming, Flourishing, High Supply, Opulent and Wealthy. Their may be more, but basically you are looking for a system which is thriving.
So, now you understand about the economy info and how to find the right type of system to buy and sell from, the last thing to explain is how to sell. As you may (or may not) know, the space stations give the worst price in the system as they get replenished over a period of around 3 hours or so. But if you have the galactic trade blueprint and your freighter then you can pop that sales terminal on your freighter and then just pop out of the station, board your freighter and buy and sell there for around a 15% bonus. Also another reason to do it on the freighter is that it's separate to the station inventory. I've also expanded this and tried setting up multiple terminals on a planet but it seems they are all linked. To buy, simply find a system, spawn your freighter (if you have one), land on there and then stock up on as much of the most expensive item is (I'll list them below). They cost around 48000 - 53000 on a station, and probably more like 43000 - 48000 on your freighter. If you have additional space stock up on the cheaper 30 odd thousand goods until you're full. Then just head to your selling station and sell on your freighter. But don't forget to get the station if you need to warp back. Once you've sold freighter to freighter you can go back and sell station to station, remember what I said about separate inventories? Well that's it, once you've got the teleport to jump between the stations quickly and you have the inventory space, it should be easy enough to make around an average of around 5 mil every 5 minutes or so.
So I mentioned the stuff to buy and sell and colours. I've not finished the 3 last colours (yeah I know) but I do have a list of 2 trading routes for these goods, and the colour of the systems for them.
Yellow - You buy High-Capacity Vector Compressors from the market and sell Re-latticed Arc Crystals.
Light Blue - You sell your High-Capacity Vector Compressors here and buy Quantom Accelerators.
Red - You sell your Quantom Accelerators here and buy Fusion Cores.
Orange - You sell your Fusion Cores here and buy Re-latticed Arc Crystals. And then take them back to your yellow starting station!
The other 3 are as follows, sorry I've not noted the system colours yet
Buy in - Super Fiber Sell to Market - Teleport Co-ordinates
Buy in - Neural Ducts Sell to Market - Super Fiber
Buy in - Teleport Coordinates Sell to Market - Neural Ducts

So sorry it was a long one, but perhaps others will find this market description useful. As I mentioned when you've got a decent inventory then it will be easy enough to make around 5mil per trip when averaged between freighter and station. You can also use this to then avoid having to farm for items and easily bulk buy in whilst travelling to the centre and trading between systems. You can easily identify the systems when you go into the map with an economy scanner in. Just use the free look and then find a system with the correct colour, check the economy description so a good economy (i.e. booming or something as mentioned above) and the type of economy which will buy your goods (i.e Orange if you want to sell Fusion Cores). That will mean that you can sell because it's the correct colour to buy your goods, but also if it's a good enough economy then you'll also be able to buy to deliver to the next system!
