Totally stuck, really need help to be able to continue

Hello fellow NMS'er out there, i'm at a point where i can't continue my journey through this fantastic game. To continue the 'Awakening' Quest i need to warp to another system once more. Yesterday i got the receipe to craft Anti-Matter. But for that i need a porable refinery to refine copper to chromatic metall. Bad thing is i don't have the receipe for the refinery, and i can't build one when clicking in any free space in any inventory. I just need the refinery receipe, can anyone help me ? (Where can i get one?) Woudl be much appreciated, as i don't want to start anew.

You dont build the refinery in your inventory. You build it on the ground. Use the z key and see if it's on the list. After you have built it, you can pick it up and it will go into your inventory so you wont have to keep building them.

Thanks SniperWolfMG, you are a Godssend! That did the Trick, it was exactly as in your answer, i switched to keyboard control, and was able to build a refinery on the ground! THANKYOU !!!

Yeah, thanks for the reminder, i picked it up and still have it. Then i experimented a bit and build my first base, but then i deleted it and now the base computer and my fundament is gone, and i got no material back. But that's okay, i'm still learning and at least i know that i won't get anything back when deleting a base. (Had build only a base computer & fundament, so no big loss.) Next thing i need is a better mining laser, have only a simple modell. Do you maybe know where i can get one ?

That's tricky. I talked to a Vy'Keen sitting at a desk. It gave me an option to give him my multitool and took me to a trade screen for a much better, albeit pretty broken, one for free. Also there is one for sale on every space station now. Its next to the weapon upgrade guy.

You should be able to buy the advanced mining laser recipe for Nanites from the multitool/weapon merchant on spacestations. I got mine from a Korvax trader.

On many planets there are houses or trade hubs with multitools for sale. . . .look for a red container with a multitool inside for sale or exchange. Open it.

Also every spaceport now has one of these red display boxes at a tech shop on the left side (you have to push close to get the interact button.)

If at anyplace you stop you see a nice looking ship, climb into it and talk to the owner he will sell it for a price.

BTW there is a whole science of how to exchange the items on your existing ship or multitool before you exchange or sell yours.
