Lost my ship on the first planet

There is no way for me to find my ship, while I repair it. I had to collect some s##t a couple of hundred meters away and after that I couldn´t find it, bacause the is no marker. I could try to find it, but try to find your car somewhere in africa.

you need to build the scanning visor or some ♥♥♥♥ whatever its called, until that there is no marker

The marker on your compass can sometimes disappear, but it's not a bug. In that case use your scanner (the one that scans plants minerals and animals, left trigger on a controller), you'll find the marker no matter how far from it you are, and a lot of other things too.

Also, the compass only shows what is in front of you. Stuff behind you won't show up until you turn around.

i have the same problem, started the game, tryed to find mats for the first missions, had no idea how the storrages worked, so i dindnt finished the start missions, didnt had a visor and withou that no compas and lost the ship cuz it had no marker, also cuz its unfinished i cant call it with X...

After i couldnt find it i got a mission to annother ship, so i traveled there 1000 hils later, i found it bu i now have the problem cuz of unfinished first ship stuff, i can build anything on the new one...

the start for a noob like me is very hard, not very well dont the starter Mission, cuz after u find ur ship, the marker vanishes... even the mission isnt finished... searched hours for the ship and lost it completly on the planet.

i dont understand for what i claim regions in this game and cant even get a proper minimap, climbed towers wich lift me up the sky and nothing to access a map ...
not even the area u searched around...

very challenging for a beginner..

as a new player your scanner isn't working, but gather a handful of ferite dust to repair it and you get it started again, then you scan and it shows you everything nearby including your ship.

Yeah but like the comment before said, it only shows you once. After you find the ship, if you leave to go find the stuff it demands, you no longer have a marker. And no way to regain it.
It's kinda crap for newbs who don't know what they can expect in terms of this.
It'd make more sense if you character could build some kinda flag to find it or something... In real life you'd probably try to do something like that to make it visible from a distance.

Except your ship marker DOES stay there, permanently, because it is your active ship. Also, why did you necro a two year old thread for this?
