What's the best Multi-tool weapon?
In your opinion, not trying to start a fight between anyone here, what's the best multi-tool weapon?

Originally, before NEXT, I always just used my mining laser as my primary weapon but as of now it seems that the damage output has been significantly reduced. I'm currently trying out the Blaze Javelin but even with 2 class S upgrades (working on the 3rd) it takes 2 fully charged shots to down a normal sentinel.

I prefers a weapon with high damage %. mining and scan arn't really needed when you got enough units to buy any material you want.

Have you got the Mass Accelerator upgrade for the Blaze Javelin, thatt helps, Also You can 1 shot the basic sentinels with it, , think you have to hit them in the sensor. i also use plasma grenades, with a changed key , and the spitter laser but ive got that clip size up to 120 just now. To me though all weapons feel weaker than i remember, either that or the Sentinels have got much stronger.

The Rifle class will have the best damage potential, pistol for mining, experimental for scanning and alien for a hybrid (if from what ive seen in the game so far is correct!) I found a 24 slot S class experimental that has 40% dmg 80% mining and 100% scanning on it, would prefer a rifle for sentinal pew pew

i use a combo of the shotgun and the blaze javlin for direct fire weapons. scatter cannon is a nice facility door buster and all round close range weapon. something in your face? pop pop its dead. modding it for mag size and reload speed is ideal though, the base weapon works but you get so much more power per shot out of a modded one.

plasma launcher is a good weapon for crowd control and sentinel walkers heads. careful though, they can hurt you too if they land near you.

blaze javlin has many uses, the big one is to aim at a target and do precision damage, striking a weakpoint of course doing a lot more damage. its nice too because its charged with carbons rather than needing ammo like the scatter gun or bolt caster.

as for the multitool itself, rifles will tend to have damage and scanner bonuses on em while pistol seems to get mining bonuses. i've got an A class rifle now with 14% bonus for damage and scanner, i havnt notice a major differenc from it, so jsut be sure you got enough room to attach mods for your scanner and the 3 weapon tools you go for.

I have the blueprint for the Accelerator but cannot figure out where the main ingredient is. I'm looking forward to adding that one. I believe it is 20% so that is a pretty good upgrade.

Thanks, I was wondering what the main difference between the pistol and rifle variant was besides just slot size. Do you believe that you can overcome the lack of inherent mining bonuses via the amount of space a rifle grants? I really enjoy the extra space and like having a decent way to combat sentinels. I definitely would love to come across that hybrid lol do you recall how much it was?

I tend to go with more ranged weaponry so I stay away from shotguns generally but man it would be nice to blow down those armored doors fast haha. I'm not much of an explosives weapon guy but I'm sure it would be nice to have a person with the plasma launcher in your group. Yeah I enjoy the Javelin but haven't fully upgraded it yet- Is there a way to look down the sights for that weapon? Since it requires a great deal of accuracy (miss and you have to recharge before the next shot) it would be pretty nice to be able to aim better. Concerning the MT itself I also have a class A Rifle with 24 slots and was holding onto it until I got a class S (or now that I've read it, a good hybrid one).

It's a bit off topic but my perfect MT would be one that I could max out for scanning and mining while also having one type of weapon mod that's fully maxed out (or at least upgraded quite a bit). The pistols have the perfect template for what's most important to me but just lack the slot space of a rifle unfortunately.

I dont remember what the materials for the Mass Accelerator upgrade are, however if the were a superoxide crystal or rare earth metal, i found them in floating crystals. if its something else, post back and i'll try and help out.

i love my scatter blaster. it kills sentinels in 3 shots and reinforced doors in 6

scatter blaster max upgraded with a plasma launcher is the way to go imo, perfect for sentinel busting

I take down walkers with a boltcaster. Never needed anything else. Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

The superoxie crystal is it. I've seen those floating crystals once before but it gave me another material. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for them now.
