What is C class, what banner, and what were you doing when this "banner" popped up????

It's about stuff and the banner is a banner. Put your right foot in, put your right foot out...that's what it's all about.

I figured it out, the Banner is on your character customization station. It says your class (which is the class of your current ship you are flying) and you can set an icon and colors.

Also remember to do the hokey-banner and shake it all about. That too.

I was confused by that too. It seemed like something we'd use mostly in multiplayer but it seems we have to go out of our way to see someone else's banner, so meh.
