How many Space Stations can I Teleport to from my base?
I was wondering how many space stations you can access from your base? Is there a limit to how many you can store there?

maximum of four.. different players have debated on how the teleport list is generated..

for myself, I never have more than one station in my teleport list when I'm in my base... it's always just the last system I returned from.. it's been my conclusion that is due to the fact the previous system I teleported back to base from is too far from the last system I teleported back from, so it's dropped off the list...

other players have reported that their home teleportation list has a system on the edge of the center of the galaxy as well as their home base system.. which was clearly 150k+ LY apart..
I can teleport to my base from a system 225k+ LY away, so I don't think thereso a distance limit. Although the max systems my teleporter shows is 2...
...Is there some sort of trick to this?

I've never been able to teleport to any station except the most recent one I tele'd in from

OP topic is discussing teleporting FROM home base.. two different sentences in my reply denote using the base terminus to teleport TO other systems.. Nobody said there was a maximum range to which you could or could not teleport back to your base.. As long as you're in the same galaxy, you could teleport 300k LY back to your base.. of course, you'd have to explore to the outer edge of the galaxy, build a base there and then teleport to it from the center edge, but it could be done... but nonetheless, we're talking about teleport FROM the home base...
Teleport system is easy with this rule: You like a system? Then teleport back to your base at least once from it so it gets saved in the list of the 4 last systems you have visited. The most remote system in this list should disappear to make room for the new one, which also means that if you really like a system: then often teleport back to base so it will remain in the list.

You don't like a system? Then don't teleport back to your base from it and it will never appear in the list.

If for any reason you want to fly back to a system out of the list, then set a waypoint from the Discovery page. (or re-locate yourself by changing the Galaxy Adress, hehehe).

This system works best for me.

You can lock in multiple systems now? Is that new? Thought it was just a single star system
What they should change in the teleport list is displaying my changed system names. They stay with the default names.

This is the way it's supposed to be, but I can't even use this method..

Actual depiction (distances may be off, but example of the experience remains valid):
88k LY to center and I find a system with a fighter I really like the look of, so I teleport back to my base and return to the system.. this way an entry of the system should remain in my teleport list..

Later in my journey, around 50k LY to center, I find a system with a cool golden science ship that I like, so I do the same thing.. return to my home planet to add the system to the list of available systems to teleport to..

But hang on.. my base terminus doesn't have the 88k LY to center system listed any more.. in fact, the ONLY system I have listed is the most recent one from 50k LY to center... I never reloaded the game, never exited the game, only kept saving and moving forward.. So what happened?

I've had a full list of four systems before, but only when they're close together... so it's my personal conclusion that the teleportation terminus does have a maximum range between returned systems and once that range is exceeded, the previous systems returned from are removed from the list...

but like I said, I've had players contest to this as well, so no one's figured this out definitively yet and HG hasn't weighed in on the matter...

I stopped naming my discovered systems for this very reason...
in my experience once you teleport back from base to that system, it is removed. so to keep them in the list. teleport from a system to base, then fly away from your base system, don't teleport. now whenever you teleport back to base from somewhere you will see that old one there too. so for anything i want to keep on the list for future use, dont teleport back out to that system. now your base acts like a hub and you can teleport out and then back to base and it will stay in the list.

teleport to base adds it to the list, teleporting out from base removes it. as long as you teleport back to base from that location, you're golden.

at least this is how it has worked for me. only way anything stays in the list is if i teleport back to base. if i want to go explore a different system, i fly out from base.
Very interesting all this. I notice that if I'm too far away, using black holes etc. the distances get screwed up in the Galaxy Map and it's quite impossible to find past systems, even marked with a waypoint. I've just used a black hole, then I go in the GM and hit B to show my homebase which should be approx. 4000 LJ away by guessing that the Black Hole has thrown me 2000 LJ far (but will it? Maybe I'm much farther away). But from my base planet I read this: 730,029.12 LJ. How is this ??? The center is 176.000 LJ away or so, that must be wrong... Also impossible to just navigate the map to see the travel path to my homebase...I need to know how far a black hole will throw me away.

In this case my system above will not work that easily I guess.

That's because Black holes don't send you in a straight line ~2k LY, then it sends you laterally around the center and spits you out randomly. I always wondered this when I would see I warped 100k or 200k LY from a black hole but was only brought 2k LY closer. I found out how that was possible a couple months later. Your base relative to your current location must mean you are on the other side of the center.

AARGGGH, this Nada...He promised me a 'shortcut to the center' and that's what I got...
But I can get to that black hole again: I just teleport to my base and back to that system, see...I trick this s..o...b.. anyway...

Mine always seems to give me two listings, the one in my system, and the furthest one on my journey path. I hope this was the info you are looking for. ;)
