Game security violation
7 days to die has been locking up on the creating player screen. I usually have to ctrl-alt-del and sign out of windows as the game will not even allow task manager to display over it.

Today there was a new error, "Game security violation 0000001"

Any ideas?

What are your PC specs? Do you have enough RAM installed? Note if the game require 8GB RAM you need atleast 12 installed. RAM works installments of 4. Sounds like your running out of RAM and that is what could be causeing the issue.

Only other thing is the Anti Cheat could be fighting with your Anti virus software? Guessing on this one. I really think RAM is likely the issue causing the lock up as I am hoping that you have an independent graphics card and not some built in deal........

What displayed the error? Windows, 7 Days to Die or EAC?

I'm betting this is a problem with EAC.

If you're not doing MP you can try launching without EAC.

If the game launches then something was interfering with EAC.

Post your findings so we can help with next steps.

Having the same issue but it is on the start-up of the game. Game loads up is on the home screen for like 5 seconds then it crashes with the prompt: "Game security violation detected (#0000000D)".
And it is a 7 Days to Die Error not Windows.
Edit: Restarted computer and then turned Easy Anti-Cheat off and it worked perfectly. Hopefully this can help others!

So when you click play, instead of selecting play 7 Days to Die click the Show Game Launcher or something along those lines. Then uncheck "Use Easy Anti Cheat"

Sorry about that Kevin.
(Was out of town yesterday so i had no guidance for you.)

What Creep said should work.

Edit:

Steam
Library
Right click this game.
Select 2nd option (Show Game launcher)

Continue with Creep's advice.

If system specs and crash logs or any logs relating were provided you would like have a solution by now. How-to report an issue!
Salsped Dec 14, 2017 @ 11:45am
Yama its not exactly crashing so there are no proper logs. Also the solution is already provided and as I mentioned it worked for me. We are just waiting on the OP to let us know if it works.

The link on error reporting is relevant because if EAC is crashing TFP needs to know about it and pass that along to the EAC guys.

I'd still suggest following the link provided then, as it explains how to generate a report when there is not one. Also no solution can be called such until we know it remedied the issue. Especially given the lack of information provided thus far.

"Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D)
[LightningService.exe]

Game has been unplayable for me since A16 so I just built a new pc and figured I'd give it a try but now I can't play because of bs anti cheat I don't even need because I don't play on open servers with randos and what moron thinks a generic anticheat will stop cheaters in open online play anyway.

How To Fix:
In Steam open the "Games" menu up in the toolbar and click "Add a Non-Steam Game to my Library" and select the non-EAC 7 Days to Die exe file.
