Valve Index Headset

So when I first got my headset, everything worked fine for a couple days, then red and yellow lines started appearing across my headset screen. Then eventually the left lens gave out and then the right followed. I got a new headset and the same thing happened except this time the left lens turnred off randomly, and the right one followed after. Another difference is that the 1st time, the lights stayed blue on the headset, but this time the lights turned red. Is there any way to prevent this from breaking again so I dont have to buy a vive pro 2 just to play vr lol.
