Proper price for Valve Index (full kit)

So I search for Valve Index VR Full Kit on amazon and see:
1,600 00$ + $77.49 shipping

Then I open a random review video (https://youtu.be/-O3eRKa3kCU) and there it's 999$. What's the proper price?

The official channel for the Index is solely Steam, from what I know, and it should be $999. Anything else is re-selling product bought on Steam, and due to very limited supply prices are what you see.

$1600 is a rip off and you wont get the warranty either I think its only for original purchaser

Steam store's $999 US price is the price without sales tax, while the Steam store's EU price is 1079 € (around $1170 US) including VAT. Just saying that sales tax / VAT thing as your profile hints you are not from USA.

It would be very costly to buy electronics from Amazon.com if you are not located in the USA as you would probably need to pay VAT and import duty in addition to shipping. It would be a nasty surprise when your nation's customs start asking those when the package arrives to your country.
